Look how cute these shirts we designed for our favorite and local business Flowerland turned out! The doggie is Tommy, a fixture at Flowerland in Albany, CA- and the owner Carly wanted to make sure he was a prominent part of the design.
The artwork we created for the t-shirt before it was sent off to be screen-printed looked like this- hand illustrated on our well used Wacom tablet
and was based on this original photo, you can see the original 50's era signage in the background- they always put the funniest little quips on their marquee too.
If you do live in the Bay Area, you might have seen some of the ad's we've done for them as well, I especially had fun drawing the little airstream trailer that is on the left side of their property, run by a great local company called LOCAL 123 "Enjoy the beautiful garden setting with Four Barrel coffee and espresso and pastries from our refurbished 1969 Airstream Streamline trailer." It's a really nice relaxing spot- and all the plants available are displayed incredibly well, it makes me inspired every time I visit.
Harder to see here, but there is metal signage above the store entrance which we also designed. I have to admit I can't go into their store area without buying something, from letterpress cards, to succulents, to jewelry (and cute t-shirts...) This is definitely a go to for unique and thoughtful gifts. If you are in the Bay Area and for some reason haven't stopped by- you must! and not just to see our t-shirts ;)
